Poznań University of Medical Sciences

Poznań University of Medical Sciences (PUMS) is a Polish public medical school with a rich tradition spanning over 105 years. The University was a pioneer in offering studies in English starting in 1993. Since then, they have attracted a diverse student population from around the world.

The University is affiliated with 6 clinical hospitals, providing students with valuable hands-on experience in a real-world medical setting. Students of all the programs offered by the University gain knowledge and experience while completing clinical rotations in different hospital wards. Small groups of 5-6 students facilitate communication with the doctor-tutor as well as patients, allowing students to gain invaluable hands-on experience in working with patients, their families and other members of the care team. Students learn how to conduct interviews with patients, perform basic procedures, and also assist in surgeries. PUMS students develop and refine their clinical reasoning skills during seminars, where they get the opportunity to discuss cases and receive feedback.

All in all, The University boasts a student body of 7000 individuals, including 900 international students, which creates a multicultural learning environment.
